Take Action: How you can support National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week!

Each year, the National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign against Hunger and Homelessness co-sponsor National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week to inspire people to take action to prevent hunger and homelessness.

Here are ways that you can help:

  • Sign up to screen Storied Streets, a new documentary from fellow activist Susan Sarandon that is all about challenging the way we think about homelessness
  • Find a local organization working to end homelessness that you can volunteer with here
  • Write to your local members of Congress to cosponsor the Runaway and Homeless Youth and Trafficking Prevention Act here. This legislation provides critical funding for services for homeless youth, so make your voice heard!

  • Donate to support our programs for homeless youth here! $1 provides a pair of socks and underwear to homeless youth and $5 provides food for a homeless youth for a week, so no matter how much you give it can make an impact!
